Seward doctor named president-elect of Nebraska Medical Association

County plans budget hearing

TOMORROW - SML shows action thriller

The Seward Memorial Library will showing a 2024 action thriller on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 1 p.m. Feel free to bring snacks and a drink. Visit sewardlibrary.org for more information.

TOMORROW - Line dancing starts

The Seward Memorial Library will host line dancing classes Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Jacki Mason will demonstrate new steps as well as dance to some old favorites. Line dancing will start Sept. 5 and continue through Nov. 14.

FRIDAY - Just for fun at the library

Programs for adults are planned at the Seward Memorial Library every Friday of the month from 1:30 – 3 p.m. starting Sept. 6. The First Friday of the month will feature Ten Point Pitch. This card game is enjoyed by many, but if you are unfamiliar with the game, help will be offered. Second Friday, Bingo. Third Friday, crafts. Fourth Friday, puzzles.

Family and friends of Sandy Smetter will gather to celebrate her life Thursday, Sept. 5, from 5-7 p.m. at Olde Glory Theatre in Seward.

MAYFIELD, Gene

Visitation for Gene Mayfield will be Thursday, Sept. 5, from 3-8 p.m. at Volzke Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m., also at the funeral home. A private family service is planned.
