CITY OF MILFORD SEPTEMBER 3, 2024 The following is a condensed form of minutes:A complete copy is on file at the Milford City Hall, 402 1st St., Milford, NE, or on the city’s website: milfordne.gov The Mayor and Council met in regular session on September 3, 2024, at 7:00 pm. Mayor Kelley called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present: DeLong, Freeman, Roth. Absent: Keib. Nebraska Open Meetings Act requirement met. PUBLIC COMMENT: None CONSENT AGENDA: Mayor Kelley read the Consent Agenda: a. Approve Minutes: 8/6/24 b. Approval of Claims: Totaling $172,854.29 c. Approve Treasurer’s Report for July 2024 d. Reports/Communications filed by Governing Board and City Personnel. e. SENDD request for membership dues: General Membership - $1832.00 and Housing - $647.00 for the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year. f. Approve League of NE Municipalities membership dues for 2024-2025 in the amount of $6,780.00. SALARIES:$53,179.25 GENERAL FUND: (See attached) CURRENT BUSINESS: SCCDP Annual Report: Funding and Membership Agreement 2024-2025 Jonathan Jank and Scott Giehran presented on behalf of SCCDP. Jonathan thanked the City of Milford for their investment in the organization and partnership with SCCDP. The 2023 Funding Agreement dated 10/1/23 thru 9/30/24 shows the city’s investment of $12,566.00 and is spent for operations of the organization. The private sector fundraising and membership drive was completed. Job performance evaluations, audit and external financial reviews were all performed to meet compliance with the agreement. Jonathan is asking the governing body to consider entering into the new Membership and Funding Agreement for the 24-25 fiscal year at a 6% increase totaling $13,320.00. The increase is needed to keep talented staff, provide insurance and pay rent at the Civic Center. Approved the SCCDP Funding Agreement request and the Annual Membership Agreement for 2024-2025 including the 6% increase in the amount of $13,320.00 from 10/1/24 through 9/30/25. Consider request from Sr. Center Board to use $2500.00 from the donation fund to install a new speaker system at the Sr. Center.
