SEPTEMBER 3, 2024 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED OCTOBER 8, 2024 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on August 3, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: Misty Ahmic Members: Raegan Hain, John Culver, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Jonathan Jank of the Seward County Chamber gave an update of his organization. Officials gave updates of their offices. Approved consent agenda consisting of the minutes of August 27, 2024 and Sheriff Fee & Mileage Reports for June 2024. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Schweitzer gave information about next week’s Budget hearings. Zoning Administrator, Marissa Pfile spoke about a Schneider Geospatial LLC program that would benefit her office. Jon Cannon of Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) was present to give an update on legislation. Congressman Mike Flood spoke about his work in the U.S. Congress. Approved Special Designated Liquor License for an event hosted by Red Path Gallery on September 22, 2024.
