AUGUST 13, 2024 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Approved consent agenda consisting of the minutes of August 6, 2024, Zoning Fee Report for July 2024, and Surplus Property Disposal Form for the County Treasurer. Approved claims through August 2, 2024. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved updated Seward County policies. Approved Emergency Manager Internship-Unpaid Job Description. Approved allocation of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for a grant writer. Approved authorization to pay York County their share of the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG). Approved Chair to sign the Claim Settlement with insurance company, USAA, for reimbursement of costs incurred to fix Bridge # 13625 on A St. Road. Approved Environmental Services Agreement for Federal Aid for bridge project. Approved purchase of three pickups for Road Dept. Approved request to connect internet to Weed Building. Approved allocation of ARPA funds to purchase of table & chairs for conference room. Discussions were continued on budgets after meeting with officials the past four weeks, and the Special Session of the Legislature.
