AUGUST 27, 2024 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. A Public Hearing for the Seward County Budget will be held on September 10, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. with the regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting to follow. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Approved consent agenda consisting of the minutes of August 20, 2024 and Surplus Property Disposal requests. Approved Seward County claims through August 16, 2024. Weed Supt., Marcus Kahlhoff, gave information about a weed control enforcement possibility. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved use of the Opioid Settlement Funding Application. Approved Public Transit Title VI and ADA as Contact information has been updated. Approved Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification Report for the Sheriff’s office. Approved Special Designated Liquor License for an event hosted by the Pleasant Dale Volunteer Fire Dept. on September 21, 2024. Approved tax requests for Miscellaneous Taxing Entities: J Precinct Cemetery Association, Pleasant Dale Cemetery Association, Seward County Ag Society, Seward County Fire District General Fund, Seward County Fire District Sinking Fund, Seward County First District Bond Fund. Discussions were held on the Seward County budget hearing and the postcard hearing. Held Executive Session for personnel.
