AUGUST 6, 2024 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED SEPTEMBER 10, 2024 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on August 6, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: Misty Ahmic Members: Raegan Hain, John Culver, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Jacob Jennings of the Seward County Chamber gave an update of the organization. Officials gave updates of their offices. Approved consent agenda consisting of the minutes of July 30, 2024 and July 2024 Fee Reports of the County Clerk and Clerk of the District Court. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved request for use of courthouse by Seward County Housing Corporation on August 14, 2024. Held public hearing and approved permit to construct a 6-hole Golf Course in O Precinct. Held public hearing and approved adoption of a Carbon Dioxide District in the Seward County Zoning Regulations. Approved establishment of 5 private drives for 911 addresses in precincts H, I, J and O. Approved to upgrade the PREA/Programs Corporal title to Programs Sergeant. Approved authorizing the Chairman to sign the Annual Certification Compliance for NE Board of Public Roads Classifications and Standards. Approved the 1% increase on restricted funds for the 2024-2025 budget. Held Executive Session for personnel. Discussions were held on increasing insurance for courthouse, Zoning permit renewals, budgets, participating as a political subdivision in the Kroger Opioid Settlement, the Miscellaneous District Levy Requests, and grants being sought by Seward County.
