However, shades won’t only be worn at dark this Thursday, June 27 – National Sunglasses Day.
In light of National Sunglasses Day, the Seward Vision Clinic is celebrating and informing the community about the importance of eyewear.

Seward Memorial Library will offer a workshop exploring the world of sound on Tuesday, June 25, at 1 p.m. Kids ages K-5 will listen to a variety of styles of music and sounds and measure decibel levels. They will investigate how sound is made by creating noise putty and different ways of making music. No registration or limit is required.
A veterans coffee will be every Wednesday from 7:30 – 9:30-ish at the Spare Time Lounge in Seward.
Children will have a chance to create their own musical instruments at the Seward Memorial Library on Wednesday, June 26, at 1 p.m. Kids ages K+ will have the opportunity to make a drum or a shaker. They will explore creating, performing and listening to music in a variety of ways.
The String Beans will perform at the Seward Memorial Library on Thursday, June 27, at 6:30 p.m. From rockin’ rhythms to folk-infused favorites, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Channel 10/11 meteorologists will be at the Milford Senior Center on Thursday, June 27, at 10 a.m. to share fun weather facts, historical information and what it’s like in the day in the life of a meteorologist.

The Seward Post 33 ZKE Storage juniors were at Waverly June 24 and came up short 4-2. Quin Berner was 2-3 with a triple, and Karson Dyer drove in Seward's two runs in the first inning. Berner and Tyler Hammond combined for eight strikeouts on the mound in the six innings.
The graveside service and inurnment for Thomas Rea will be today, June 25, at 11 a.m. at the Seward Cemetery. Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
